What is Griff’s Guide?

Griff’s Guide is an online, local guide where Phoenix residents share their favorite places in four key categories. I check out these spots and review them, so you have one easy place to find your next go-to hangout or hidden gem. Along the way, you’ll meet some of the friendly people who make Phoenix special, hearing their stories and what they love about the city.

Who is Griff?

Hi! My name is Griffin and I’m a senior in high school at Shadow Mountain. As a part of the DAAPS program (Developing Authentic Academics through Purposeful Scholarship), I’m completing a capstone project for the duration of my senior year. I’m taking this time as an opportunity to learn about writing, photography, design, and more (thanks for following along!) My hobbies include hiking, going to concerts, and hanging out with friends.

What is DAAPS?

Briefly, DAAPS (Developing Authentic Academics through Purposeful Scholarship) is a four year, advanced humanities track at Shadow Mountain High School. The DAAPSTONE is an optional capstone course taken senior year, that gives you the opportunity to craft a project of your choice!
