Moon Valley Christmas Lights
My favorite time of year is here! I love driving around and looking at Christmas lights, but Moon Valley definitely takes the cake as the best neighborhood for viewing.
After a fancy birthday dinner, my aunt and I drove over to Moon Valley to check out the Christmas lights. The neighborhood has come to be known for their over-the-top displays, along with a parade and light competition. On this particular night, we seemingly stumbled upon the neighborhood parade, an unexpected but exciting surprise! Seeing the community gathered, enjoying each other’s company and celebrating the season was a very cool thing to be a part of.
As we drove around, we had a great time judging the displays we passed. It’s fun to see how people get creative with their lights; what colors they use, the theme of their yard, etc. I really liked the Willy Wonka themed yard, but classic, white light displays were also neat to see. The range and variety of lights and designs you may see make this a super interesting outing!
For those of you who think this won’t fit into the Outdoors category, roll down your windows. Driving around the curvy, confusing streets of Moon Valley is a blast! You could spend hours trying to see all the houses and displays. It’s definitely worth the trip over if you’re looking for some easy, holiday fun. I’ve seen a variety of maps/routes online, so you may be able to find one if you want one.
Attached are some of my favorite light displays. Obviously, there are a lot more, but I tried to snap a few pictures along my way.
