Frances
I know I’ve been spending a lot of time exploring Uptown Phoenix, and I promise that more diverse content is coming soon; but this part of town is such a great place to find established, local businesses to explore! Today, we’re gonna take a spin through Frances! On their website, they describe themselves as a “modern boutique with vintage charm”, and I believe that perfectly sums up their storefront and branding.
With nothing particular in mind, I made my way down to Frances to find some gift inspiration for the holidays upcoming. Very fitting for my project was the Arizona Souvenir Shop, a fun spot in the store with all sorts of Arizona themed items. I always like smelling the candles, the desert-y scent combinations are always super interesting and fun to look at. While I was there, I spoke with a local jewelry artist who had a long term pop-up booth in the back of the store. I, unfortunately, didn't catch her name, but she was very kind and gave me some helpful tips when looking at necklaces for my friends and family. Frances is always a fun stop because they seem to be pretty good at bringing in new products and styles, keeping options fresh for customers. I have never been in during one of their pop-ups, so it was fun to talk with the artist and watch her as she worked on new pieces.
With such a wide product range, there’s really something here for everyone. Jewelry, t-shirts, candles, stickers, cards, keychains, homewares, and much more; they have almost anything you might imagine. I usually hit this spot when I’m looking for gifts to give to my friends and family, but it would also be a great stop if you’re looking to treat yourself. Their perfectly curated collection ensures that you’ll find something unique for whoever you’re shopping for. With their love for Arizona at the center of what they do, Frances is a perfect place to check out.
On December 6, check out their annual Crafeteria event, showcasing independent artists from the Arizona community!
