The Grotto Cafe

There’s nothing better than a post-hike breakfast, so that’s why I was delighted to join my friends at The Grotto Cafe in Cave Creek! After our quick hike through Cave Creek Regional Park, we were excited to grab a little something to eat. This restaurant/coffee shop is located right in the middle of Cave Creek, they have a great menu and lovely outdoor patio waiting to be enjoyed!

At The Grotto, you wait in line to order your food/drinks, get a number, and they’ll bring the food out to you. We waited in line for a few minutes, not too long, and headed over to our table. It was a super nice day out, so we decided to sit outside to eat. Zoe, one of the friends I was with, comes here all the time, so she was able to make some good recommendations for those of us who had never been before. I ended up getting the Grotto Bagel, it comes with cream cheese, tomatoes, and bacon; I got it on an everything bagel. I also ordered the Nutcracker Latte, hazelnut and toffee - 10/10! After getting our drinks and placing our orders, we found a place to sit. Our food already started coming out by the time we all sat down. This quick service was perfect! We were all super hungry, so it was great that all our food immediately started coming out!

The best part about Arizona’s winter weather is, for sure, getting to sit outside! The Grotto has a great, expansive patio with the perfect amount of shade. We found a table tucked away, giving us room to hang out and enjoy our conversations. On this particular morning, the weather was beautiful and we loved being able to enjoy more time outdoors after our hike.
