Le Market at The Global Ambassador
When brainstorming some fun places to grab a holiday treat, Le Market immediately came to mind! I’ve only been here once before, but after a few recommendations, I was very excited to come back and try it again!
After seeing their fall/winter specialty menu on Instagram, I already had my eyes set on Le Cookie Noël, a sugar cookie inspired latte. I got a friend to join me on my adventure, and we headed over to the hotel for a little exploration. There is a public parking garage that can be a bit tight and confusing, they do validate parking, though! I don’t know why I was so surprised to see a long line on a Saturday morning, but they moved us through relatively quickly. The wait gave me enough time to stare down all the pastries in the case, landing on a chocolate croissant. I’ve been on a hot latte kick recently, so I ordered my drink warm, with oat milk of course. After getting our food and drinks, we found some seats in the expansive lobby. Even though there were a lot of people, there was ample space to spread out, leaving you with an intimate experience. The latte was pretty good, and the croissant was HUGE. The drink wasn’t anything to write home about, but it wasn’t overly sweet, which I appreciated.
Aside from the holiday beverages and treats, The Global Ambassador does a great job with their decor. Their tasteful, classic decorations bring warmth and coziness into the lobby; a subtle but enjoyable touch. The natural light streaming in from all the windows makes it a delightful experience all around.
If you’ve noticed a French pattern, you would be spot on! Le Market, and The Global Ambassador as a whole is a Parisian-inspired concept. At some point, I would like to take a moment to walk around the hotel. I didn’t get the chance this time, but I would love to explore the grassy courtyard and other restaurants/offerings at this place. They also have a hot cocoa bar on the weekends — so I definitely have to try that. Year round, Le Market provides a relaxing escape from the outside world, a perfect spot to unwind and enjoy some good coffee and company!
