Let It Roll Bowl
I really love the sound of a bowling alley, all the pins falling down, the music videos playing on TV; it’s a very specific and nostalgiac vibe. Last week, I went over to Let It Roll Bowl, a family favorite that’s a great time for everyone!
Going to the bowling alley when it opened at 3pm, I wasn’t expecting too many people. I was right, because I was, in fact, the only person bowling in the whole place. I grabbed some shoes, and bought a lane for an hour. Admittedly, I’m not the best bowler, but I was able to get in a little practice today. Getting a strike on my first frame definitely boosted by ego a bit, but I was quickly humbled by the two gutter balls that followed. I didn’t stay for my full hour, since I had somewhere to be, but I managed to squeeze in four and a half games while I was there! It’s pretty easy to roll through a game when you’re the only one playing. It was a lot of fun to just practice my throw and get off my phone for a few minutes. I’ve always known that I throw the ball wrong; I fling it forward and put a bunch of backspin on it. Today, though, I took the opportunity to try the proper way. I didn’t notice much of a difference, but maybe I need a little more practice.
My family has logged countless hours at this bowling alley. When my sister and I were younger, we were members of their summer “Kids Bowl Free” program. We paid an initial fee, and just had to rent shoes each time we went bowling! A great way to spend some time out of the heat and out of the house. Back then, I would put on the bumpers, but for my excursion today, I left them off.
With all sorts of private rooms, an arcade, and bar/restaurant, Let It Roll Bowl has everything you might need! I’ve seen a number of birthday parties and family gatherings at this place; it’s the perfect spot to hang out with friends and enjoy each other’s company. I always forget about bowling, but it’s such a fun thing you can just drop in and do! Let It Roll Bowl is a great local place, they’re friendly and engaging, always giving back to the community. You won’t regret dropping by this place!
