Serafina Coffee Roasters

After a few glowing recommendations, I made my way over to Serafina Coffee Roasters! I’m trying to get onto a more consistent schedule with my content, so I thought I’d pop out for a quick coffee and study session with the hopes of gathering some content for a review.

For some reason, I was expecting a pretty quiet cafe, however, it seems to be a popular afternoon work spot! The staff greeted me very kindly, and I pretty quickly decided on ordering a Maple Brown Sugar Cinnamon latte. Iced with oat milk, duh. As a fan of all things fall, I loved the combination of autumnal flavors; it wasn’t super sweet, which I really appreciated. I sat down with my laptop and got to work on a presentation for my DAAPS class. Usually, I’m pretty quick to put in my AirPods, tuning out the world around me; but today, I left them out. Serafina seemed to have the perfect playlist bumping for my afternoon work session. I sat and worked until my laptop was about to die, and slightly eavesdropped on the conversations around me. I also kept glancing over at the pastry case, which was full of cookies and other goodies that I was eyeing.

I was kinda surprised at how busy it was, I guess I seemed to forget that people (including myself) like to drink coffee in the afternoon. The roomy space allowed for people to spread out and enjoy each other’s company. I don’t know how long I was sitting in the coffee shop, but probably a lot longer than I was planning. I just sat at a table, but they had a variety of different places to sit and get comfortable.

It’s always nice to see a local place supported by the community, and this coffee shop is definitely embraced by the residents of Moon Valley and beyond. My latte was not as expensive as I was expecting, and was definitely cheaper than some other local places that up-charge for alternative milk or seasonal flavors.

If it’s not clear already, I can echo the majorly positive reviews I got from my friends. Serafina Coffee Roasters is a very versatile spot that’s great for studying, conversing, catching up, and everything in between. Check it out! I’ll definitely be back to try the rest of their seasonal menu and food offerings.

After checking out their website, they also have a location on ASU’s Downtown Phoenix campus — an exciting prospect if I end up attending! They also sell their roasted beans on their website, a great way to check out their coffee in another format.
